MOnthly MIssion opps

Each month we give students and families opportunities to live out their faith and live out the Great Commission by loving others and

loving God. Check out the different opportunities below, one for each month, and see what you can do to fulfill our calling as                                 Christ-followers to take care of the least, the lost, the lonely and the forgotten. (Matt 25:40)

September- First Responder Kits

We are asking our RSM families to create "First Responder Kits" as a way to show our thanks for all they do for our community. A kit should include:

- a $5-10 gift card to a store/restaurant (Dunkin' Donuts, QT, Racetrac, etc.,)

- a personalized note to either a firefighter or police officer (in an unsealed envelope, please)

- a pre-wrapped, shelf stable treat (Hostess cupcakes, a bar/bag of candy, etc)

We will begin collecting these kits Sunday, Sept. 13 during CRU and will continue to collect them until Monday, Sept. 28. You can drop them off at the Dodson Youth Center Office any day between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. We plan to distribute them through the month of September.

Please sign up to bring one or more kits for either a firefighter or police officer here:

If you'd like to make a monetary donation instead, we can create the kits for you. To donate or for more information, contact our RSM Missions Coordinators: Leah Burdett, Stephanie Schuette, or call the RSM Office at 770.261.1776.

November- Canned Food Scavenger Hunt

In year's past, our small groups have competed in an epic battle to see who could collect the most canned foods to support North Fulton Community Charities

This year, you are by yourself! That's right! This year we will crown a single individual as the CFSH Grand Champion! Students will collect items for one week. Any student can participate and deadline for all canned food and non-perishables will be Monday, Nov. 16.

The winner will receive a $100 gift card and title of Grand Champion! There will also be prizes for 2nd and 3rd place as well.

december- homeless hygiene kits

As a part of our CRU Christmas parties, we will be constructing hygiene kits

to be handed out to those who are homeless in downtown ATL and live

under the bridges and overpasses.

We will be serving alongside 7 Bridges to make sure these kits get to

the people who could really use them. We will ask students to bring

supplies and create the kits. Then, we will have a day in December

where all students who would like to join us will go and deliver them.

Look for more information coming soon.
