Volunteer

Below you will find a list of some of our big needs, but if none of them fit with you, please contact Shannon Reed for more opportunities to serve.

  • Volunteer

There are so many ways, big and small that you can get involved with Altar Your Life 2019. If you would like to volunteer- we can't make this possible! To sign up for general volunteering Click Here.

  • Host Home

Host homes are one of the most rewarding ways to get involved with AYL. You will host a group of about 6-8 students and 2 college leaders in your home. The college leaders will be in charge of the students while they are in the house. What is needed for sleeping during the weekend is floor space and a bathroom. You and your host home helper will provide dinner at your house Friday and Saturday night, breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning. You and your host home helper will also help with transportation from your home to RUMC during the weekend. If you have any questions please email Jenny Hudson.

    • Host Home Training: Sunday, Jan. 27 at 12:30 p.m. for lunch and training

  • Host home helper

A host home helper will be assigned to each host home to help with meals and transportation as well as helping to solicit help from other parents of the student group for driving, food, etc.  Effort will be made to assign the host home helper to his or her student's host home but cannot always be guaranteed. If you have any questions please email Jenny Hudson.

  • College Leader

College Leaders have the opportunity to give back to Roswell Student Ministry in a big way. You will lead a small group of middle or high school students for the weekend. You all will worship together, eat together, play together, and serve together. It is an amazing experience and we want you to be a part of it. For more information please contact Mary Stephens.

  • Missions

All day Saturday our students have the opportunity to serve near and far. Our older students go to Atlanta and serve within the homeless community while our middle school students stay right here in Roswell and serve their own community. Some of our favorite projects over the years have been refurbishing the prayer stations on the RUMC campus, hosting a prom for EnAble, delivering cookies to local fire stations, and playing games with the residents of senior living facilities. We need a lot of adult volunteers to make each of these projects happen.

To help please email Shannon Reed

  • Prayer Team

Throughout Altar Your Life we want to make sure or students, college leaders, and adults are covered in prayer. Over the past few years, the presence and power of prayer have been felt during AYL. If prayer is a passion of yours or if you just want to be involved in AYL, please consider being a part of this team.
